Due to expansion from on-going success an exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Lab Manager to join a well-established organisation.

The responsibilities of the Assistant Lab Manager – Senior Calibration Engineer are as follows:

• Calibration of measurement equipment ensuring work is carried out in line with ISO17025
• Management of Calibration Engineers, ensuring that all work is carried out within agreed timescales
• Schedule, prioritise and plan the daily and weekly work load within the Laboratory
• Undertake Head of Laboratory duties when necessary
• Ensure the Laboratory continually operates in accordance with the requirements of UKAS and ISO 17025
• Provide on-going training for the calibration engineers

To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills/experience:

• Strong calibration background
• Experience of working with torque, dimensional or electrical measurement equipment – ideally experienced in more than one area
• Supervisory experience is advantageous
• Full understanding of ISO17025 – worked in a UKAS accredited lab
• Ability to work closely within a team as well as on your own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
