My client are a leading developer in power conversion and energy storage devices for applications in high technology areas where saving energy and improving performance are important.
Due to exponential growth which has seen the company take on 17 engineers in 2011, they seek a Project Development Engineer - Power Electronics/Matlab to support ongoing customer projects.
This Project Development Engineer - Power Electronics/Matlab opportunity is based in the Oxfordshire area and commutable from Oxford, Reading, Swindon, Basingstoke and London, paying from £30k-£45k dependent on experience.
The Project Development Engineer - Power Electronics/Matlab will be required to lead multiple customer-focused projects taking responsibility for ensuring validation of interface of energy storage device with customer systems.
Coordinating with design and engaging in development and ultimately ensuring that projects are delivered successfully.
Working closely with the Project Manager you will be actively engaged in engineering development work including the design of experiments to ensure the product is functioning to customer requirements.
Requirements for the Project Development Engineer - Power Electronics/Matlab role include;
Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, Control Systems etc)
Background within Power Electronics - electric motors, drives, power supplies, AC-DC converters etc.
Design of controls/supervisory systems such as MATLAB/Simulink and/or LabVIEW is desirable as is C++ computer programming capability.
