Health and Safety Manager - Highways/Local Authority
My Client, a Local Authority in the North is looking for an interim Health and Safety Manager for a period of 6 months to work within their Highways team.
This is an important role that will support a key project to insource the Council's Highways function from the existing external provider.
The Highways Manager will be responsible for developing a full set of Health and Safety operating procedures and policies for the new Council service - they will then be tasked with implementing these using a full training plan.
The ideal candidate will previous experience of managing Health and Safety in a Highways function.
You will have worked within a DLO, Local Authority or contractor/provider setting and have an in depth understanding of relevant Health and Safety policy and procedures.
Please note, previous experience of Highways is essential.
