Certification Engineer

Our clientis seeking an experienced, energetic and dedicated Certification Engineer to co-ordinate and undertake certification activities for all of their products.

Our clients products are subject to a range of certification requirements under the R&TTE directive, Marine Equipment Directive (MED), and FCC in the USA.

The role will include the preparation of all certification documentation and the conducting and co-ordination of all required certification testing for all of their products.
Our client is seeking an experienced, energetic and dedicated Certification Engineer to co-ordinate and undertake certification activities for all of our products.

Our clients products are subject to a range of certification requirements under the R&TTE directive, Marine Equipment Directive (MED), and FCC in the USA.

The role will include the preparation of all certification documentation and the conducting and co-ordination of all required certification testing for all of their products.



This will include liaising with their customers to transfer approvals to customers where required.

The successful candidate will need to co-operate closely with the company’s Project and Product management as well as with external test and type approval bodies.



Key abilities and characteristics for this role are:
1.

At least 5 years’ of relevant experience working in the electronics/telecommunications industry in a certification or product development/test role.
2.

Degree or HND qualified in an engineering or similar discipline.
3.

Knowledge and experience of certification processes in the radio-communications industry in particular the R&TTE directive, FCC and ideally the MED.


4.

Experience of managing sub-contract companies, particularly product test facilities to deliver test reports for submission as part of product certification, and working with certification bodies to achieve the required certification.


5.

Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and generate own work programmes.
