Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Permanent - Hampshire - £30,000 - £45,000

Manufacturing Systems Engineer required to work within a fast-paced NPI department.

The objective is to optimise the assembly, manufacturing and automated test processes for a medium to high volume global manufacturing company.

This will include working on new product introduction and working with Operations to optimise sustaining processes.

Manufacturing Systems Engineer required to work within a fast-paced NPI department.

The objective is to optimise the assembly, manufacturing and automated test processes for a medium to high volume global manufacturing company.

This will include working on new product introduction and working with Operations to optimise sustaining processes.


The scope will cover production control, automated test, product identification and physical build processes.

The responsibilities of the role include:



  • Working with project teams, automated test and manufacturing engineering teams to define and optimise the production process for suitability in multiple locations

  • Analysing current solutions, defining changes required and manage implementation

  • Optimising the fit of product assembly and automated test requirements into a high efficiency production process

  • Simplifying and reducing the operator touch time in the production process to increase efficiency, eliminate defects and dependency on operator skill.


Applications will be expected to have strong project management experience in delivering software and hardware solutions for manufacturing environments, the ability to work effectively and maintain working relationships across a global manufacturing base and NPI teams, excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of expertise in manufacturing process system design in medium volume and high configuration production environments, experience in shop floor control and engineering change control with knowledge of production control systems and automated test solutions.


This position is based in Southern Hampshire and commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham, Chichester and other surrounding areas.
