This well renowned manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design / Development Engineer to assist the already successful team in coping with an ever increasing business demand.

The role
1) Design and develop new products according to the New Product Development process which will typically include, creation of specifications from market requirements; detailed design; detailed drawings and models; prototype develpment and test; liaison with internal departments, suppliers and customers; phased product release to production
2) Produce accurate layouts and detail drawings/solid models, following all internal procedures and relevant British and international standards
3) Project planning and project management with global visibilit
4) Liaise with Purchasing / Manufacturing departments to ensure that the best possible costs are leveraged for prototype and production parts, and that all parts are fit for purpose
5) Ensure that all testing required to demonstrate that the product meets specification
Candidate skills / qualifications
1) Strong experience gained as a Design Engineer OR Development Engineer ESSENTIAL
