I am currently working with leading Robotics provider that are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join their team.

You will be involved with system proposals, layouts and design through to installation and final commissioning of all their Robotics products including stand alone robots and robot systems.

I am currently working with leading Robotics provider that are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join their team.

You will be involved with system proposals, layouts and design through to installation and final commissioning of all their Robotics products including stand alone robots and robot systems.
Offer an internal sales support function including programming software support, cell layouts and cycle time/reach studies using 2D/3D CAD and robot simulation software.
Integration of OLP programming systems

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Design and project management of robotic automation systems.
Sales support to direct sales engineering staff, system integrators and end users.
Develop ideas and solutions for best practice robot solutions.
Perform hands on role for robot and system programming at customer sites.


Maintain and develop project files in line with EU CE marking and latest European Harmonized safety legislation.
Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.


Offer an applications engineering support function for existing OEMs and System Integrators.


Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.


On site system training and support following installation.
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Essential Skills and experiences:

Able to communicate and motivate via written media.

Understands the principles of Robotics and Automation, be cost-effective including understanding project budget plans, product development, features and benefits of solutions selling.
A good understanding of project management, both technically and to be capable of bringing any project in on budget and cost effective against plan.
Basic understanding of PLC and communication packages would be required including
Ethernet, RS232, Profibus DP, Device-net and Interbus-S.
Knowledge of vision systems would be an advantage.
