Senior Project Manager

Insurance, large projects/Programmes, 10-12 years in IT, practitioner level, budget management, end to end IT solutions

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage and contribute to the delivery of all IT components of projects & Programmes in order to meet business objectives.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage and contribute to the delivery of all IT components of projects & Programmes in order to meet business objectives.

Qualification

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and/ or relevant IT qualification with strong exposure to Insurance domain

Skills Experience and Knowledge
 Previous experience with proven track record of delivery in large projects / Programmes
 Total experience of 10-12 years in IT
 Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g.

Certified project Manager, APMP, Prince2
practitioner, ISEB )
 Expert in Project management Disciplines
 Good Experience of working on various project methodologies – Waterfall, Agile etc
 Experience of budget management
 Proven decision making ability
 Ability to manage and develop people effectively
 Excellent communication skills
 Experience of influencing senior management population
 Awareness of market trends in Insurance & the IT industry
 Expert understanding of end to end IT solutions and the IT delivery lifecycle
 Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties
 Line Management responsibility for up to 10 direct Reports
 Line Management responsibility for up to 20 indirect reports
 Task allocation and delivery responsibility for a project team of up to 100 resources in a matrix management structure
 Responsible for multiple worksteam/ multiple technology delivery
 Management of multiple project budgets up to £5 million
 Contributes to the setting of project budgets
