Senior or Principle Development Engineer

£32,000 to £45,000 plus package

Are you a Development Engineer with experience of vehicle interior systems looking for a role with technical challenges and plenty of variety?

On offer is the chance to join an Iconic Engineering brand working on interior systems and structural testing.

You will also have responsibility for looking at new technology and analysing competing brands equipment.



This role is currently vacant, you will be encouraged to develop the role and the systems used.

You will be expected to put your stamp on the role and develop the development function within the business.



This post would suit an engineer with experience of designing and using test rigs on structural vehicle components.

In addition you must have experience of testing equipment to international standards including automotive seats, doors, control systems and so on.

There is also a responsibility for developing new technology and working with application of supplier systems.

You will be required to keep abreast of the industry standards making sure that the company are competitive in a tough global market.



The Role
• Designing and running structural testing activities
• Ensuring compliance of electrical and mechanical systems to global automotive standards
• Implementing new technologies into the interior system

The person
• Experienced Senior or principle engineer from Automotive, Off Highway or HGV industries
• Experience of designing, calibrating and using test rigs
• Experience of taking new products through automotive approval standards
