Engineering Design Manager.

c£35K-£45K plus benefits.

The person will be responsible for a team of Engineers.

The team is responsible for defining the Engineering content of 4 families of pumps (DFP1, DFP3, DFP4 & DFP6).

This position will ensure synergies and commonalities between pump families will be applied, whilst functional performance, design to cost and manufacturability and quality will be achieved.

The applicant will have good technical knowledge and experience of a similar product that has been put into production.

The applicant must also have a good understanding of managing a team to meet priority, cost and timing targets.

Applicant must be willing to travel for training, and/or work at the company and suppliers’ plants abroad.

Candidate Requirements:
• Masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent in physics etc.
• Supervisory experience in Engineering, design, development or equivalent area.
• Solid experience in a leadership/management role.
• Personal strengths should include: Confidence, self-directed, goal oriented, with strong team interaction skills that facilitate cross-functional involvement.
• DOE and statistical analysis knowledge.

• Must be able to constructively deal with conflict situations.


• Ability to develop and present technical presentations.
• Must be willing to travel for training or work with plants and suppliers abroad as necessary.
