Events and Marketing Manager

Events & Marketing Manager

Our client, a transatlantic business network, have an exciting opportunity for an Events and Marketing Manager to join their team, based in their London Office.

As the Events and Marketing Manager you will responsible for managing, developing and implementing the companys business events programme and creating and implementing marketing plans.

Key responsibilities will also include:-

Administer internal organisational details for the event programme, to include:

  • confirmation and follow through with speakers
  • budget development, management and completion for all events
  • venue research and coordination

Administer external organisational details for event programme, to include:

  • venue negotiation and catering
  • administer prize approaches and compilation for Christmas Lunch
  • briefing designers and printers to produce printed documentation/programmes for distribution at events


  • Identify companies to be approached for sponsorship opportunities and work with other departments to confirm sponsors
  • Work with Director to develop a sponsorship approaches and packages
  • Approach potential sponsors with list of upcoming events

Publicity and marketing:

  • Develop design portfolios for each programme and produce final print in conjunction with the Communications & Policy Manager and/or external production/print companies
  • Acquire external listings and data sources and refine in-house lists
  • Produce and disseminate event e-mail invitations using our web based application and monitor responses

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event management
  • Experience in managing high profile events such as awards (desirable)
  • Experience in managing Dinners, Roundtable style breakfasts and lunches, conferences, receptions, networking events
  • ability to build relationships with members and colleagues quickly and successfully
  • strong networking skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Great commercial acumen and an ability to create high quality events, whilst managing costs
  • A quick learner, able to quickly build an understanding of requirements
  • strong project management and trouble shooting skills
