Team Leader

Team Leaders - HMP Feltham - £23,052 + £4,378 regional allowance and Excellent benefits

Our client are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, including 12-Step programmes.

They deliver treatment and aftercare programmes – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime.

These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.

This post requires someone who is creative, innovative, organised and systematic with professional resilience; capable of liaising with partners and building strong relationships and pathways for the clients, as well as managing a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that agreed performance targets are met.

You will work with the ReNew Service Manager in the following key areas:

  • maintain the organisations relationship with all management and staff and other agencies working within this contract
  • ensuring the submission of reports and returns
  • planning and maintaining a staff rota, ensuring that there is always adequate staff cover for the provision of the service
  • developing and maintaining supporting working relationships within the team
  • identifying and supporting the continued professional development of all staff and volunteers
  • ensuring effective induction for new staff and volunteers
  • ensuring all staff receive regular and effective supervision
  • Knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures
  • Ensuring that the service meet RAPt’s audit requirements
  • Contribute to target requirements as set by stakeholders
  • Contribute to the recruitment and selection process

Experience and Qualifications

The Team Leader will be expected to have:

  • experience of supervising or managing the work of others within the drug and alcohol misuse sector
  • experience of following capability and disciplinary procedures
  • Level 3 or 4 Award in a relevant subject, and/or an equivalent qualification.  Where the candidate has extensive experience of working within the sector they may be considered if willing to undertaken appropriate training
  • supervision training
  • attended internal or external management training and/or willing to work towards level 4 or higher in management and leadership
  • IT literate and able to write reports to an acceptable standard
  • proven experience of working with stakeholders
  • experience of providing evidence based interventions
