IT Sales Executive - NHS Software - Bristol

My client a leading supplier of Software & IT Services within the NHS & Social Care market require an IT Sales Executive/Account Manager to support business development within the NHS and independent healthcare sector.

The primary purpose of the role is to build relationships and promote an ePrescribing solution to new customers, identity opportunities and generate leads to support the development of new sales revenue.

This is an office based role


Support the achievement of the annual sales gross margin targets, as set by the Company at the outset of the financial year.
In collaboration with the sales strategy, develop a go-to-market plan to
(a) generate and prioritise sales opportunities
(b) working with sales and marketing team to support campaigns that will promote awareness and generate opportunities
Build relationships with target organisations and a comprehensive view of the market opportunity
Develop and maintain relationships with the key customer contacts
Run telesales campaigns in accordance with the agreed plan, produce leads and follow up on a systematic basis.
In conjunction with sales and business development consultants, prepare correspondence for potential customers, based on generic national campaigns and individual trust follow-up.

Develop opportunity profiles and sales campaigns to support the achievement of annual targets
Support sales with the coordination of marketing campaigns and attendees to events
Helping with events and user groups to support customer engagement.
Instigate, manage, and report on strategic telesales campaigns in line with product and sales plans such that there is a continuous supply of sales leads to the sales team in line with set targets
Ensure all leads are tracked and continually qualified
Produce monthly report of activity against sales and marketing plans
Use and improve current processes where appropriate, document and share intelligence gained during campaigns

Key Skills:

Experience of telephone selling/telemarketing within the technology industry
A track record of sales/telemarketing success gained, ideally in the healthcare sector
Expertise in producing customer correspondence, articulating responses and follow-up to campaigns
The ability to develop effective customer relationships at all levels
Practised in developing opportunities and leads through professional engagement and dialogue with potential customers
An understanding of electronic prescribing would be preferable but not essential
A broad understanding of the NHS structure, its environment and how it operates would be preferred
Effective relationship management
A propensity to listen and analyse before presenting a considered approach
Creative and innovative in finding solutions to meet business needs
