Technical Services Support Supervisor

The Technical Services Support Supervisor is responsible to provide company-wide coordination and support for Technical and Quality Services in order to meet contract agreement and compliance and support UHS growth and profit margins.

  • Plan and coordinate work assignments, balance workloads and verify work of subordinates including: employee development, goal-setting and corrective action

  • Oversee all invoicing, collections and reporting for all Contracted and National Biomed Account contracts to ensure timely, complete, and accurate invoicing/collections to customers

  • Develop and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterlyproject updates, revenue performance, and industry trends to develop business strategy and budget

  • Audit UHS field personnel to assure services are performed in a cost effective, efficient and productive manner according to UHS standards, procedures and policies.

    Initiate and assist with periodic process improvement efforts

  • Participate in, as needed, during pre-sales and customer review processes.

  • Acquire a solid understanding of the UHS field service work in order to assist COE, District and Field service providers with proper billing documentation

  • Manage activities in customer set up, contract set up, work orders, and billing on the biomedical software programs (OASYS & AS400.)

  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner; proactively address and troubleshoot customer issues as needed

  • Monitor the follow up with customers to collect on outstanding A/R's, keeping the Accounting team updated

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Advanced computer skills in: AS/400, MS products (Word, Excel, Lotus,Visio and Access)

  • Knowledge of healthcare, hospital industry, medical equipment and customer service

  • Knowledge of invoicing processes

  • Demonstrate strong planning, organizational, and quick problem solving skills

  • Maintain a high level of business knowledge and professionalism to meet changing (daily/weekly/monthly) requirements

Background Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 1-3 years experience in biomedical equipment industry preferred
