Business Development Manager

Salary - £35K - £40k per annum, OTE £60k+ and Company Car

Hours - Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.00pm

Location - Poole, Dorset

Our client, based in Poole, is one of the world's leading organisation in their sector.

They are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their successful team.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving the sales targets in the nominated target region.

The Business Development Manager is expected to be innovative in reaching potential customers through the development of focused sales strategies and planning.

In addition they will be expected to arrange regular customer visits in their region in order to develop new customers and opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve personal sales targets and grow revenue and profit in line with agreed targets.

  • To identify potential prospects for sales opportunities.

  • To provide revenue forecasts for new and existing business.

  • To qualify and quantify the prospects requirements to validate whether there is any opportunity for our client to develop or pursue.

  • To develop for each opportunity a deal winning strategy and the turning of this into a detailed proposal to match the prospects requirements.

  • To ensure face-face meetings take place in order to present our clients capabilities and match those to any potential opportunities identified during meeting.

  • To clearly define new business deliverables, expectations and measures.

  • To maintain the CRM system.

  • To assist in the development of marketing material.

  • To attend when necessary relevant conferences and exhibitions.

Our client requires the successful candidate to have the following:

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years sales experience selling to large corporate customers (B2B)

  • Previous experience in a technical sales role

  • Confident in sales presentations to senior executives

  • Have a valid UK driving license

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
