Business Manager (Care): A Business Manager seeking a rewarding commercially focused role is required to run the Chelmsford branch for one of the UK's most reputable care companies, known for the highest standards of care.
This is a rewarding role for an entrepreneurially minded individual capable of balancing the needs of the care sector with the disciplines of running a successful branch business.
Previous Care sector experience is NOT required as the position is about business management with full P&L responsibility.
Ideal Business Manager candidates are likely to have worked in a service based people orientated business (retail / restaurant / estate agency / hospitality / events / healthcare/ recruitment etc.), accountable for meeting defined targets whilst ensuring full compliance with quality and legislative standards.
As branch Business Manager you will be responsible for the legal, ethical and efficient running of your branch, providing in-home care to the local community.
The successful Business Manager will manage the care co-ordinators and a team of Care Workers, as well as effectively dealing with customers across Chelmsford.
Support is provided by the regional management and head office teams (marketing, payroll, finance etc).
Full training provided.
Ensuring the budgeted Gross Profit targets for the branch are achieved
Ensure a high quality of care is delivered to all clients
Development of a pipeline of suitably qualified staff to meet client demand
Raise awareness of branch services to local community stakeholders
Management of branch team to ensure effective branch operations
The Registered Manager for CQC purposes
Skills and Experience:
Great people skills and presentable.
Strong face to face and written communications
Previous experience in the recruitment of staff
Knowledge of the healthcare market would be advantageous.
Good team leader/player, able to motivate others.
Excellent organisational/administration skills.
Ability to manage change.
Articulate with the ability to put across ideas succinctly and clearly.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel
Ability to work on own initiative - self-starter, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
Confident in selling.
Willing to study for the Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services.
