HSE Manager

FINTEC recruit is looking to recruit an HSE Manager for their prestigious client, one of the UK's Leading Power Cable Installation & Civil Engineering Infrastructure Contractors.

This is a permanent position based in Inverness with a salary range of £30-£35k.

As an HSE Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that employers and workers comply with Health and Safety legislation, and that safety policies and practices are adhered to.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position in the Inverness area.

Role and Responsibilities

As an HSE Manager your responsibilities will include the following:-

  • Advising and updating Health and Safety Policy, systems and procedures

  • Implementing the Health and Safety systems, including delivery of objectives and plans

  • Carrying out risk assessments

  • Undertaking incident/accident investigation and report writing for all accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences

  • Identification of training needs and instigating health and safety meetings and training courses for managers and employees

  • Producing management reports, newsletters and bulletins and compiling statistics

The ideal candidate for the HSE Manager role will have:-

  • A relevant Degree

  • Relevant experience in a health and safety advisory role, excellent HS&E legal knowledge

  • Practical application experience and experience of advising in a multi-site environment.

  • Suitable experience of delivery of HS&E training


  • CSCS Card

  • A Corporate Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (or working towards)

  • Valid UK driving license
