Job Title

Retail Sales Manager

£32,500 per annum OTE £5,000 + £2,500 car allowance

45 hours per week

As a cluster manager you are responsible for ensuring all nationwide stores assigned to you achieve their monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets through effective leadership, management and training.

You will be supporting and reporting directly to your regional/national sales manager and providing regular performance reports to show how each site under your portfolio is performing.  The role will involve UK wide travel.

The Candidate

  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Have strong coaching, mentoring and leadership qualities.
  • Performance driven with the ability to exceed targets.
  • Have the ability to provide effective management/Training when required.

    • Flexible with a very "hands on" approach to management.

  • Very customer focussed.

  • Have excellent merchandising standards.

  • Full Driving license.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years management experience.
  • Must have experience of managing a retail facility or multiple sites with turnovers in excess of £4,000,000.
  • Experienced in performance management and HR.
  • IOSH Trained – This is not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Ability to motivate, lead, coach and mentor store managers in all aspects of their roles.

  • Provide training & development for store managers and their teams.

  • Prepare sales reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Assisting with recruiting where applicable.

  • Covering store management sickness/absence if required.

  • To ensure store managers reach their stores targets through effective management & effective use of KPI’s.

  • Provide sales training & development for store managers and their teams where required.

  • Maintain customer service levels & quality in-line with company standards throughout our stores.

  • Provide customer service training & development for departmental managers and their teams.

  • To carry out weekly and monthly store audits to ensure company merchandising standards are being maintained.

  • To carry out health & safety audits to ensure stores are compliant to legal/company health & safety standards.
