Event Sales Manager for high profile leisure and entertainment venue £40k package

I am looking for an experienced Event Sales Manager to lead the generation of income by commercial sales of events and company presales at this fantastic high profile leisure and entertainment venue.

The Event Sales Manager will oversee the special and company presale events hired, ensuring the service yield and quality.

This person will also manage the corporate third party ticket only sales.

Key areas of focus:

  • Generate income by the commercial optimization of events and company presales
  • Oversee social or special (industry partner) events and company presales, looking for yield at all time.
  • Offer quality service that exceeds customer expectations
  • Deliver the sales budget for Corporate Events and Corporate third party ticket sales
  • Commercial lead the venue in the corporate direct and agency sector
  • Identify new customers and increase the database through different means (mail, e-mail, personal visits, telephone calls)
  • Ensure the hired event logistics are delivered and oversee its execution according to the commitments established with the customer with the support of Corporate Events coordinator
  • Prepare marketing briefs for Marketing Team to deliver collateral & set up process for operation of events with internal departments
  • Administer and execute the presale system through company systems
  • Ensure Coordinator registers companies in the system, print valid tickets, pay attention to ticket changes and all specifications agreed in the negotiation with each company
  • Forecast revenue and sales versus budget, putting in recovery action as required
  • Write the monthly income per event and per company presale report
  • Keep the agreements with different companies updated
  • Manage the corporate sales coordinator day to day and development plan
  • Make the weekly and monthly work plan / attend exhibitions and be go to person for corporate in the venue
  • Maintain supplier relations for third party providers as lead support
  • Visit Clients – Direct & Agency
  • Provide follow up to the established company presales work plan
  • Manage a visits information diary

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in event coordination sales
  • Experience in leisure, restaurant, hotel and/or party rooms sales
  • Some experience in people management
  • Making budgets and costs schemes
  • Strong drive and relationship skills
  • Negotiation experience is a plus
