M&E Engineer

This is an opportunity for a qualified engineer (mechanical/electrical/process) to establish him/herself in a growing niche area supporting the energy/utility sector.

Our client is a successful, funded university spin-out business active in energy management and balancing using AI technology.

The technology is being rolled out to manufacturing and water treatment plants and contracts are in place with several UK utility companies which will significantly reduce their energy spend.

There is now a small UK team in place supporting a major contract in the Yorkshire region.

This new role is both office and field based.

It involves visiting client locations across the organisation throughout Yorkshire to conduct audit activities on installations – pumps, pipelines, control systems, electrical panels etc.

You will survey the condition of assets on those sites, collect relevant data and log same on to the client company’s systems.

This role is offered initially as a 12 month contract with the expectation that business growth during that period of time will lead to longer term opportunities and a permanent role with our ambitious client.

Recent successful candidates have been graduate engineers at a relatively early stage of their careers.

Prior work experience has been varied across sectors such as dairy equipment, food, water and chemical industries.

A home base accessible to Leeds would be ideal.

There will be significant travel across the region for which a vehicle will be provided.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

There is an urgent need to fill this role, so please apply today with a full CV.
