Registered Manager - Children's Home - East Midlands

Salary - £30,000 - £37,000

My client are a highly regarded care provider with a number of units based across East Midlands area.

They require an experienced Registered Manager to join their management team, contribute to the development of the company, be an ambassador for the companies mission statement and work hard to deliver positive outcomes for the young people.

The Children's Home Manager must have

  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent)

  • Experience in a management role within children's services

  • Experience working with children with trauma or attachment difficulties

  • Practical Ofsted knowledge

  • Strong incident handling skills

  • Hands on management approach

  • Excellent care delivery management skills

    The Children's Home Manager's main responsibilities are to

  • Be registered with Ofsted

  • Lead the service through all Ofsted inspections

  • Obtain minimum 'Good' with Ofsted

  • Adhere to and promote effective safeguarding practice

  • Monitor, review and improve outcomes for all children in the home

  • Maintain effective working relationships with young people, internal/ external professionals, families/ significant others

  • Lead and manage in a way that delivers the ethos, outcomes and approach set out in the Statement of Purpose

  • Lead and manage a team to have high aspirations, and to provide high quality care for all children in the home

  • Lead and manage in a way that promotes clear professional boundaries

  • Line manage, motivate, appraise and discipline all staff

  • Efficiently record keep all care plans and relevant administration

  • Work within allocated budgets

  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours (including undertaking sleep in duties and shift work when the need arises)

  • Be an ambassador for the company at all times
