LanDesk Technical Analyst - Leeds or Home Based

Rate: £30,000 to £33,000
Type: Permanent

A role is required within the internal IT team to lead with the implementation of the LANDesk ITSM product across the Group's business units.
Working with the existing LANDesk implementation team to understand the technical infrastructure, database, product features and the processes required to deliver a high quality IT Service Management function that is standardised across customers.
The rollout is planned to continue until late 2017 where the role will then become a supporting and continuous improvement role (along with implementing the service in any new acquisitions)
This role requires someone enthusiastic about customer service and that has a technical and support based background.


Manage own workload, ensuring implementations are delivered on time.
Develop internal and external customer relationships to enhance the support service.
Document changes to the ITSM Product and create ITSM specific knowledgebase articles for other team members.
Recommend enhancements to the C.A.B.
Advise C.A.B on timescales for implementing changes
Implement changes, enhancements and fixes to Processes, Windows and Queries with LANDESK
Escalate issues to the Project Manager in advance of any conflicts occurring.
Responsible for maintaining consistency throughout product implementation.
Test and implement new releases of the ITSM product.
Follow approved procedures with regard to change control and documentation standards
Site visits to data centre and other premises as required.
Liaise with business units and 3rd parties
Perform strict release control of features and products.
Management of test environments.
Help define and support departments in their UAT plans

Project specific tasks - Project Management
Communication Skills are essential to provide the departments with efficient and accurate information.
Troubleshoot application issues.
Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory services
A demonstrable understanding of relational databases
Experience developing the LANDesk product
Experience of using scripting languages
Able to estimate and deliver work on time
Able to share and communicate knowledge effectively
Able to develop ideas and thinking
