Business Systems Analyst - Retail/Agile/JIRA - Manchester

Retail/Business Analyst/Systems/Agile/Scrum/JIRA/SQL/Workshop/Stakeholder Management

Business Systems Analyst required for a leading client based in Manchester with previous experience working in retail and in an agile environment.

Your will be working with a number of key users and stakeholders within a variety of business areas to deliver IT and business change projects, being involved in projects from BAU work to long-term projects such as system integration.

This is a leading organisation within their field who operate within the retail sector and are a UK based company.

Key Responsibilities;

  • To work collaboratively with all IT functions and business stakeholders to develop a holistic view of projects and requirements, working from inception through to deployment phase.

  • To understand the data flow and downstream impact of the changes you are defining as well as creating detailed user stories and associated acceptance criteria.

  • Create clear, concise and relevant user stories within project boards in Jira.

  • Form part of the scrum team responsible for delivery of projects that you are involved with, fully participate in ceremonials

  • To understand the business systems, processes and data flow, to aim to become a subject matter expert in one or more areas.

Key Skills;

  • Previous experience within a Business Systems Analyst position within a retail organisation and an agile/scrum environment

  • You must be a confident face to face communicator, able to liaise with both technical and non-technical teams to gather requirements and be adaptable to business stakeholder's schedules.

  • Proven ability to define/run/facilitate business and IT requirements workshops, producing relevant data for review

  • Previous experience of defining and writing user acceptance criteria that will be used as a basis for test driven development and test case generation

  • You must be a confident SQL user with skills that will enable you to comprehensively analyse and document current and expected data flow.

The salary for this position is from £40,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience, my client also offer an extensive benefits package including a bonus scheme, pension and retail staff discount.
