Patent Assistant - Float throughout multiple teams

We are looking for candidates who have had previous experience and a genuine interest in Patent practice groups.

You will have strong communication skills and a high attention to detail.

Your intermediate to advanced MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel skills will ensure you are able to hit the ground running in this busy role.

Due to the style of work we are looking for applicants that have a minimum typing speed of 65wpm with a high level of accuracy.

In addition you will have good judgement and problem solving abilities which you have used whilst supporting senior fee earners.

The Role:
You can expect to support multiple earners within a specialised patent practice group with various administration tasks including:

  • Producing FPA compliant documents

  • scheduling and managing completion deadlines

  • opening/closing/archiving files

  • Client billing

  • Dictation and administration

  • WIP and Client Matter reporting

  • Accounts receivable to ensure debtor days are within agreed time-frames

  • Banking and account requisitions

  • Petty cash management

  • Processing expense claims
