Post Completions Legal Secretary- Gateshead

Our client an established Law Firm is currently looking to recruit a motivated and Personable Legal Secretary to join their Residential Property department in Gateshead.

The Role
Reporting to the Head Of Department the role will include but not be exclusive to:
Audio typing or copy typing of letters and other documents
Dealing with, and making telephone calls and taking messages as appropriate
Dealing with straight forward enquiries under the direction of a solicitor
Under the guidance of a fee earner, meeting clients to take instructions and completing required conveyancing form
Maintaining fee earners diaries
Processing accounts procedures on conveyancing transactions
Inputting data onto the computer system in accordance with firm processes
Collection/delivery/dispatch of post as required
Dealing with post completion matters as required including Registry documentation and SDLT
Closing files

The Candidate
To be considered for the role candidates will have:
Proven Legal Secretarial Experience preferably within Residential/Commercial Conveyancing
Experience of working within a conveyancing department as a Secretary/PA/ Legal Assistant.

A basic understanding of the conveyancing process would be an advantage.

Excellent audio typing skills
Good communication skills
A polite and professional telephone manner
