Head of Commercial Strategy

FINTEC recruit is looking to appoint a Head of Commercial Strategy for our client based in London.

This is a permanent opportunity with a salary range of £45-£60k depending on experience.

Our client is looking for someone who has experience in commercialization, product start-ups and tech.

As a Head of Commercial Strategy you will be a key person of a small team in the midst of a market-moving product launch.

Role and Responsibilities

As the Head of Commercial Strategy your responsibilities will include the following:-

  • Translate vision into execution and play a vital role in both the development and go-to-market strategy of the company's product and Design, shape and implement the company's commercialization, growth and expansion strategy

  • Work with the CEO to define and execute our strategy for customer acquisition and retention, for both corporate subscription sales and individuals online

  • Lead our efforts in positioning the company in the market for its target audiences, as well as defining buyer and user personas

  • Ensure that each phase of a product's creation reflects what our market(s) need

  • Speak to customers, to understand how they use the company produts and how we can make them even more productive

  • Manage and inspire people

The ideal candidate for the Head of Commercial Strategy role will have:-

  • Experience of taking a product to market and making it successful and a superb track-record in customer-facing sales and communication

  • Strong strategic and leadership skills

  • Commercial experience in tech, ideally in SaaS commercialization (subscription sales, pricing and scaling)

  • Ability to do financial modeling and build cash flow spreadsheets

  • Analytics: a solid understanding of metrics, data analysis, sales and conversion - (we use Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Auth0, Agile CRM, Stripe)

  • Experience in web-based media and A business degree

  • Experience in media/journalism sector and in Natural Language Programming/voice recognition

  • Understanding of coding
