EHS Co-ordinator

Role: EHS Co-ordinator
Length: 9 Months
Locations: Sandwich, Kent

My client is looking for an EHS professional with Pharmaceutical experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global research development company who are continuing to grow,

Contractor Management
§Day to day management of contractors/service engineers - inductions, notifications, issue resolution, feedback to Maintenance Manager/R&C engineers.
§Management & application of Pfizer Safe Systems of Work.
§Permit to Work management includes hot & cold works, isolations, confined space authorisation, etc.
§Program, manage, and implement engineering safety inspection program.
§Manage small scale projects in the field and contractor shutdown activities.
§Facilitating equipment inspections such as ladders, lifting equipment, pressure equipment.
§Responsible for the practical delivery of contractor works e.g.

GEA, Acclaim, Crown, Crowcon, Freestead, Firetrace, Bellamy, B530 hydrogenation, gas installation inspection program etc.

(R&C would still be PRP where applicable and complete RAMS review)
§Clerk of work would be point of contact to sort out all issues for Technical Support Advisors and be customer facing for all issues.
§Expectation that they would take the lead for all issues relating to the contracts reaching out to others for support.
§Work management scoping.

(assisting planner schedulers)

Environment, Health, & Safety
§Own and delivery the safety meeting program arrange program, create and deliver presentations, highlight relevant EHS issues.
§Co-ordinate the day to day delivery of EHS systems within ELS in support of our service delivery.
§Monitor an improve balanced scorecard metrics for all
§Facilitate and document EHS investigations.
§Assign EHS investigation leaders for incidents.
§Plant room and workplace inspections.
§Support EHS audits and inspections on behalf of.
§Take the lead on the practical application of business continuity planning for ELS.

Metrics Administration
§Works with others to compile all engineering metrics, ensuring they are issued in a timely way to the necessary customer groups.

§Monthly EHS metrics, incident investigation assignment, action tracking and follow-up
§Assist with completion of periodic reviews

Skills & Knowledge
§EHS skills, experience and qualifications.

§Work management, including small scale projects.

§GMP awareness.

§Computer systems & IT.

§Organisational skills.


§Operational/Engineering skills, experience and qualifications.
