Service Manager - Edinburgh, Fife, Perth & Kinross

Our Client has brought to us a fantastic opportunity to work as a Service Manager based around Fife, Perth & Kinross.

The Client has over 40 years experience working in care services, and in that time, they have been developing Housing and Care services to enable Scotland's older people live the life they want.

This role is for a FULL TIME 35 hours per week PERMANENT contract.

Manage and support the clients Operational Care and Support Services for older people within a defined geographical area.

Care Services Leadership

Leadership, management and development of a portfolio of Care & Support Services.


Assist in the development, delivery and monitoring of the Care Services strategy and business plan.


Lead on a range of complex corporate projects within defined timescales and budgets on behalf of Care Services.

Delivering Results & Quality

Accountable for the leadership, management and development of high quality care and support services.

Accountable for managing, monitoring and measuring the performance and quality of care and support services.


Accountable to plan, forecast, monitor and manage service budgets, financial expenditures and resources effectively across all care and support services.


Accountable to develop services in response to Local Authorities, regulators, funder and other key stakeholders.

To undertake professional development and maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, best practice and policy framework with regard to Care and Support Services.


Contribute to the creation and review of Care Services policies, standards, policies, procedures and processes.


Accountable to investigate and respond to customer complaints within organisational timescales taking appropriate action as required.

People Leadership & Management

Accountable for the effective line management, performance management and resource management of all service delivery.

Accountable to ensure that all employees and workers achieve and maintain professional registrations and competence as required and receive effective support, supervision and development.


Accountable to recruit, motivate and develop employees to provide high quality care whilst ensuring their health, safety and well-being at work.


Accountable to investigate complaints, grievances, disciplinary, capability, dignity at work issues and take remedial actions as necessary.

Other Responsibilities

To represent the Client externally in appropriate forums as required.

To provide cover in the absence of others in the Care Services Senior team.


To carry out other duties as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Care Services or other senior management.


Experience working and managing relevant health and social care operational services at management level.

Substantial experience of preparing and managing large and complex budgets.

Experience of supporting and developing participation at both strategic and operational levels.


SSSC Registration

SVQ Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent
