Job Role:

The company is looking for a passionate ITSM professional to join it’s Professional Services Team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for authoring reports, articles and white papers in line with the company's content programme, as well as undertaking original research projects and presenting at ITSM events and webinars.

Your key tasks will include writing content for reports, analysing and reporting research data, creating blog articles and responding to customer questions that require reference to the company’s research material or knowledge base.

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and reside in the South East of England.
  • You will help deliver the companies vision and growth strategies by creating informative and inspiring and informative content.
  • As an Industry Analyst you will be expected to display the brand values of Surprise, Delight and Inspire ensuring that every interaction - with either internal or external customers - delivers on our promise of delivering exceptional, fun and inspirational experiences.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the challenges faced by the IT service industry to create a programme of reports, research and articles that responds to these challenges.
  • Supporting a variety of the businesses teams including Marketing, Sales and Media Sales.
  • Supporting the digital team in provision of content for our digital, online and social channels including YouTube, Slideshare, Vimeo, company blog, company website, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
  • Creating newsworthy and headline grabbing content that helps drives PR and marketing.
  • Creating regular exclusive company member and industry reports.
  • Helping to create an internal knowledge base.
  • Representing the company at external events and exhibitions and eventually speaking for the company during events and webinars.
  • Creating surveys to produce original report content.
  • Responding to customer questions on LinkedIn and other social media channels.
  • Assisting the company to meet its objectives, live its values, culture and practice company policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has experience within the IT industry.

The ideal candidate will be either a current ITSM practitioner such as a Service Desk Manager, Service Desk Team Leader, Senior Service Desk Analyst, Researcher or member of an IT vendor organisation looking to broaden their career; or a practicing researcher with an IT background, looking to utilise their skills and experience in a global membership organisation.

In either case, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a IT Service Desk or IT support environment, with an awareness of sales and marketing techniques, along with at least, two of the following:

  • 3+ years working in an IT service desk or IT support environment with a proven understanding of ITSM best practice.
  • ITIL qualified to Foundation level as a minimum and/or SDI Service Desk Manager qualification.
  • Educated to degree level in social sciences or humanities (ideally history) with an understanding of primary and secondary data sources.
