Job Role:

The company is looking for an experienced and passionate ITSM professional to join it’s Professional Services Team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering products and services including the Service Desk Certification (SDC) programme (assessments, certification audits and surveillance audits) as well as the company’s training courses to a global customer base.

You will also support the delivery of the company's vision and growth strategies by delivering, developing and growing the products and services.

As an Auditor and Trainer, you will be expected to display the brand values of Surprise, Delight and Inspire ensuring that every interaction - with either internal or external customers - delivers on the company's promise of delivering exceptional value, fun and inspirational experiences.

You will be SDI Service Desk Manager qualified at Higher Mastery level or be capable of achieving the Service Desk Manager qualification at Higher Mastery level within 1 month of joining the company.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • This role requires ITSM knowledge, experience of the ITIL framework, service delivery and customer relationship skills.

    The key responsibilities of an Auditor and Trainer are:
  • Training - to become (or already be) an APMG certified trainer and deliver both public and in-house training courses to the company’s customers across all industry sectors in the UK and overseas.
  • Auditing - to become an approved company Auditor and lead assessments, certification audits, surveillance audits and create comprehensive customer reports for SDC customers across all industry sectors in both the UK and overseas.
  • Product development - contribute to the development and delivery of the company's Professional Services product line including the SDC best practice standard and auditing programme.
  • 'Industry expert' - to be positioned as a subject matter expert for SDC and represent the company as an 'industry expert' at customer meetings, webinars, ITSM conferences and events, delivering presentations, running workshops or hosting company events.
  • Contemporary - to ensure that your personal continual learning activities includes investigation and exploration of established, new and emerging ITSM frameworks and practices such as SDC, ITIL, ISO20001, ISO9001, DevOps, COBIT, Lean, Six Sigma or KCS for example.
  • Content - Create inspirational content such as templates and blogs for the consumption of the community via web and social channels.
  • Provide support, advice and guidance to the trusted advisor team on Professional Services products and ITSM best practice.

    Also to provide support to the trusted advisor team and help identify sales opportunities through client engagements.
  • Assist the company to meet its objectives, live its values, culture and practice company policies.
  • Travel - this role involves extensive UK and also international travel, you will have a resilient character and be able to deal with the challenges of being away from home for extended periods.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a broad experience within the IT industry.

The ideal candidate will be either a current ITSM practitioner such as a Service Desk Manager, IT Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager or IT Trainer looking to broaden their career; or a practicing IT Consultant and IT Trainer looking to utilise their skills and experience in a global membership organisation.

In either case, the ideal candidate will have experience of ITIL processes, service delivery and client facing skills as well as an awareness of sales and marketing techniques along with at least, one of the following:

  • 5+ years working in a management level role in an IT service management and IT support environment.
  • 5+ years consulting in the ITSM industry.
  • ITIL qualified to Foundation level as a minimum and/or SDI Service Desk Manager qualification.
  • Proven understanding of ITSM best practice including the Service Desk Certification programme.
