Our client is a leading IT reseller and are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their busy team with an immediate start.
You will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the UK Channel and Commercial Managers.
Provide day to day support for purchasing and operations
Prepare and issue purchase orders
Prepare and update purchasing status reports
Update information on supplier database
Follow up on purchase orders to ensure stock is shipped and delivered on promised dates
Maintain files of products related to sales in each department
Assist in the weekly and monthly forecasting, in collaboration with the central purchasing team
Liaise with purchasing team
Manage correspondence between teams and suppliers
Excellent customer care skills
Excellent written and verbal English
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good Admin skills
A knowledge of technology / IT solutions would be advantageous, as well as experience in procurement, purchasing or warehouse management.
You must be able to prioritise the workload and be proactive.
