Aerospace Technical Expert
AEROSPACE TECHNICAL EXPERT - NOTTINGHAM - PERMANENT - £50K + EXCELLENT PACKAGE
My client is a market leading manufacturer of rotating machinery.
Due to continued and sustained growth they are currently looking to add an Aerospace Technical Expert to the team on a permanent basis.
As such you will be responsible for actively driving and managing the new technologies to expand the aerospace business.
Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, you must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to ensure complete market customer satisfaction through all stages of the business process from technology roadmap/planning to its execution/realisation.
In addition you must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken in order to collaborate with both internal colleagues and external customers.
-Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application.
-Plan and manage the technology roadmap for near-future business (service and software).
-Lead the plan and development of new services and tools to address the target markets and accounts.
-Market research on aerospace technology trends.
-Listen, understand and convey customer requirements for the product development and the engineering service proposal.
-Technical networking with industries and academies to identify the technical needs for the near-future business.
-Close link with sales/management team and assist them to achieve the targets.
-Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
-Provide product information and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
-Respond to functional and technical elements of requests for quotations.
-Perform technical/product training for sales people, and engineers at targeted accounts.
-Technical publications in the major global aerospace conferences/exhibitions.
-Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases.
What Qualifications/Experience do you need?
-BEng/BSc/MSc/PhD in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry
-Experience 712 Years in Aerospace Engineering
-Strong network in aerospace industry
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-Proficient in Microsoft Visio, CAD/FE and software tool chain
-Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills
-Available for Travel 25% for global customers
-Proven project management skills
-Working in multinational environment
