Medical Assistance Co-ordinator

My client is looking for a Medical Assistance Co-ordinator to join a leading medical assistance and claims company who can offer a reliable and responsive service to all policyholders.

The successful candidate will have the ability to speak a European language so that liaising with European medical professionals is made possible.

Location: Central London - close to Waterloo station Salary: £25,000 depending on experience and languages spoken Shift Pattern: 4 days on 4 days off Languages: European

Key duties

  • Liaise with customers to assess whether they are covered for their incident via their policy documentation

  • Act as the first point of contact for policy holders with medical emergencies

  • To set up, coordinate and monitor evacuation and repatriation cases

  • To manage all medical personnel to gain all required medical information and to liaise with the Medical Director for any assessments.

  • Receive and resolve any incoming complaints from policyholders within a timely manner

  • To confirm policies and any cover by liaising with Brokers

  • Ensur all medical reports and consent forms are completed

  • Advise customers with how to submit a claim as well as the wording of their claims

  • General admin and answering any telephone enquiries

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within a Medical or Travel Insurance environment

  • Minimum 1 year experience of working in an over the phone Customer Service role

  • Ability to stay organised when working with deal with a heavy workload
