Technical & After Sales Specialist

Our exciting client based in Bourne End are currently recruiting for a Technical Service Specialist to join their friendly team.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide technical support to Distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Monitor the performance and durability of organisation's products once placed into the market, reporting issues where necessary.

Support and develop system and procedures to increase customer and consumer satisfaction.

Experience and an interest in the automotive/engineering industry is essential!

Key duties:

  • Support distributor and dealer technical enquiries, advising on fault diagnosis.

  • Warranty claim handling judgment, approval and processing.

  • Monitor Quality Assurance of products, reporting issues, suggesting solution in close liaison with Section Head.

  • Maintain a high quality service level at all times.

  • Handle and resolve Distributor / dealer / customer complaints and inquiries, recommend appropriate action.

  • Constantly monitor and work towards improving the service levels with improved systems and processes.

  • Warranty system maintenance and improvements.

  • Produce technical bulletins.

  • Assist with service campaigns.

  • Monitor after sales industry market activity.

  • Develop customer technical and warranty support systems.

  • Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers on technical needs and feedback.

  • Assist and support Spare Parts sales.

We are looking for professionals with the following:

  • Technical qualification, mechanical / automotive engineering, with a number of years experience or trained mechanic with a number of year's experience and office affection.

  • Knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine technology.

  • Commercial affinity.

  • Fluent in English, and ability to communicate with customers in market area.

  • Competent with MS Office, Word and Excel

  • Basic competence in IT.
