Project Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Retail fit-out Project Manager for an immediate start on a project in Canterbury.

Suitable candidates will have previous experience leading retail projects, including having an input into the budget process and long term programming.

Successful candidates will be involved in providing leadership to the site teams to ensure timely, cost effective and safe construction.

You will lead meetings with subcontractors, be a point of escalation for delays or challenges on site and continually monitor and strive to create a safe working environment for all site based teams.

You will manage other Site Managers on site and take responsibility for their development.

You will also work to achieve the expected net profit for each of your contract, working with on-site surveyors to ensure the agreed cash flow is attained.

Key Skills / Requirements:


  • First Aid

  • CSCS

  • Project Management Experience (Retail / Fit-Out)

  • Excellent communication across all levels on site

  • Exceptional client facing skills

  • Management of subcontractors and direct labour workforce.

  • Commercially aware, extensive knowledge of all disciplines involved in the construction process.

  • Thorough knowledge of H&S procedures

  • Computer literate
