DUTY MANAGER – Boutique Hotel in South East London – £25000 + benefits

Contract: Full time / permanent

Reporting to: Operations Manager and Finance Director

This beautiful luxury property is currently looking for Duty Manager to join the team.

This position would suit either an experienced Duty Manager / EAM or a candidate in a Management position within the food and beverage industry looking to take the next step forward into management.

This is a key new role within the team that will act as a support to the Line Manager.

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional, passionate about providing great service to guest and supporting the growth of the property.


  • Promoting the highest levels of service to guests and clients of the hotel across all divisions (F&B and Front of Office mainly)
  • Dealing efficiently with all guest comments, from satisfaction card to complaints
  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing all department procedures as laid down in the standards of performance manuals
  • Work closely with all departments managers to support the operations and ensure daily procedures are followed
  • Participate in the rolling rotation for day/night guest service management and DM shifts
  • Support of the Food and Beverage division in the restaurant, bar, room service and events in line with standards of performance and brand standards.
  • Support the senior management team in ensuring all legal responsibilities are adhered to with reference to Food hygiene, Licensing laws, Health & Safety, Fire precautions, Security and safety, HACCP, COSHH, etc
  • Ad hoc projects as directed by the Operations/Finance Directors to support Hotel business when needed.


  • Good understanding of Hotels
  • Experience in a similar role


  • Be trustworthy and diligent
  • Display a degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition to guests and employees
  • Have the ability to assimilate information quickly
  • Be able to clearly communicate to guest, Management and employees alike
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be fully conversant in all legal and operational procedures within a Hotel
