Engineering Project Manager

Engineering Project Manager - Waterford, Ireland

My client is a multinational pharmaceutical company supplying key products to patients in over 70 countries worldwide.

Due to a recent site expansion project, they have a requirement for an Engineering Project Manager.

Purpose of Role:
·Develop best practice capital projects processes;
·Ensuring the safe implementation of capital projects.
·Robust financial control including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
·Project design and implementation to user's requirements.
·Development of the capability of the Waterford capital projects team.
·Building and maintaining site relationships with Sanofi sites & networks, industry forums, peers and key suppliers (consultants, contractors & vendors).
·Ensuring that Quality standards are protected through strict adherence to site quality processes.
·Ensure the Projects Team are an innovative and technical solutions provider to the site.

Job Requirements
·Prioritise safe delivery of capital projects and lead site compliance to the requirements under HSE legislation as it pertains to construction and other relevant activities.
·Ensure the site has robust processes for the development & execution of site capital spend.
·Ensure capital spend is managed & governed strongly, incl.

risk management & reporting.
·Ensure capital projects delivery performance (SQDCP) is communicated accurately & regularly to site/global stakeholders.
·Ensure robust and innovative technical solutions are designed & delivered, minimising capital/operational costs.
·Ensure relationship based performance of partners (consultants, contractors & vendors) is to the expected standard.
·Ensure systems are in place to maintain accurate and accessible project and engineering files and records.
·Ensure validation standards for capital projects are in line with internal quality standards (DQ, IQ, OQ).
·Maintain strong focus on the performance & development of Project team members and that their development is aligned with site talent management processes.
·Maintain the site's master plan.
·Identify development opportunities for the site and drive evaluation, positioning and approval.

·15+ years in biopharma, 10+ years in project engineering management
·5+ years in a project engineering or related leadership position
·Proven track record of project delivery.
·PMO (program & portfolio management) experience
·Bachelors degree in Engineering
·Ideally a post-graduate engineering or business qualification e.g.
