Manufacturing Shift Manager

Are you a degree level qualified Manager in an engineering / manufacturing management discipline, looking for your next step in automotive / aerospace manufacturing?

My client is a multi-site aerospace manufacturer, producing large structural components for aircraft, with customers to include Airbus, Boeing and Gulf-Stream.

Their CNC machining, fabrication and treatment capabilities provide a ‘one stop shop’ to make components from design through to end product.

They are seeking experienced degree qualified (or equivalent) candidates, who are looking to take on Shift Management responsibilities, to enhance the company productivity and profitability.

This would perhaps suite candidates who are seeking a route into Operations Management. 

You will work with the Manufacturing and Engineering functions to meet and improve production targets, particularly plant output, plant operations, product quality, product costs and department expenditure.

The key goals for the roles are;

–  To develop a culture of continuous improvement

–  Challenge current practices and processes in order to make improvements

–  Use problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement improvements

–  Liaise with engineering on Plant quality, trouble shooting, maintenance, and improvements

–  Daily housekeeping walk through and corrective measures activated

–  Internal area focus on Safety, productivity and quality via good teamwork.
