Plant Maintenance Technician

Plant Maintenance Technician required to join a successful aerospace manufacturing company in Dorset.

The successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running and where needed calibration of machinery and equipment within the factory, organising routine maintenance procedures and carrying out regular repairs.

The successful candidate will also be involved in maintaining service to the factory to include water, electricity and compressed air etc.

The work involves maintenance of production machinery, office equipment and utilities supply throughout the organisation.

Maintenance work may be planned, preventative or as a result of an emergency or breakdown.

You will need to be a maintenance engineer with electrical/mechanical background.

Key functions:
, Make regular checks on machinery to ensure we are complaint and meeting the latest H&S regulations.

, Have a good understanding of H&S within the work place.
, Attending and repairing breakdowns on machines and equipment to ensure down time is kept to a minimum.

, Checking and calibrating instruments as and when needed.

, Replacing parts on equipment as part of a routine maintenance plan.

, Assist with machine and tooling improvements on processing equipment.

, Assist with machinery and equipment installations.

, Assist with mechanical and electrical improvements to plant and equipment.

, Keep production managers informed at all time of any issues that could affect production flow.
, Finding and fixing faults and recalibrating instruments in accordance to company requirements.
, Organising routine servicing schedules.
, Able to read and interpret engineering and electrical circuit drawings.

, Good analytical and problems solving skills.
, Be flexible on working hours/shifts to meet company requirements.
