Clinical Applications Support Analyst - PAS (2nd line)

2nd line Applications Support Analyst (with project work) - Clinical applications focus (PAS) + others - 2nd line technical support, multiple applications.

Due to an increase in project work and general company growth, this well-established organisation is seeking to expand its support team by taking on a support analyst on a 12mth fixed-term contract.

Applications Support Analyst - the role:

Working closely with the team leader, the main focus of the position is software applications support - working on 2nd line queries that have been triaged from 1st line - and answering queries for a range of systems, however there will be the opportunity for you to get involved on a variety of exciting technology-focused projects.

Working to SLAs, this role also involves a number of reactive and proactive duties: -

- Incident and problem management, including troubleshooting

- Working with 3rd party software suppliers to remedy problems, such as interface issues

- Test work (e.g.

writing and executing test scripts)

- Creating user and operational documentation

- Providing user training

- Working in an ITIL environment, following change control procedures

- Occasional audit work

Applications Support Analyst - the person:

The client is keen to secure someone who has a strong background in a similar 2nd line, ‘front-end', clinical applications support role, in particular PAS - patient administration systems); also PACS, RIS, etc.

- Working to SLAs, using a service desk ticketing system to drive activity

- Ideally to have worked on a number of small projects (e.g.

application rollouts, upgrades)

- Generally liaising with the user-base - e.g.

for testing and installations work

- Someone who can demonstrate the ability to really get into the ‘detail', asking the ‘right' questions and listen to the customer

- Have strong, clear communication skills

Day rate £200 to £250/day, depending on experience.
