Occupational Therapist -Team manager - Reablement -Bedfordshire

Occupational Therapist - Team manager - Reablement - Bedfordshire - £30 per hour

We are currently looking for an experienced occupational therapist to join the reablement team within adult social care in Bedfordshire.

The successful occupational therapist will be joining a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Senior Enablers and in house enablers who provide enablement to service users.

This is a community based role for clients that include vulnerable adults and children.

This will require strong experience of rehabilitation and assessments with past experience of intermediate care and falls management to deliver a high quality person-centred occupational therapy service.

Role Responsibilities…

- Ensure that vulnerable children, adults and their families are supported to assess, manage and review their own needs and risks
- Maximise independence, choice and control
- Provide support to meet immediate risks and needs in crisis situations
- Act in accordance to legislation and policies
- Provide advice to clients and their families and carers
- Recommendations for major adaptations through the Disabled Facilities Grant
- Responding to moving and handling needs
- Prioritization workload and manage referrals
- Work as an active member of the team attending team meeting and contributing to systems and procedures

The successful occupational therapist will have experience of….

- Good knowledge and understanding of legislation
- Working in a community setting
- Rehabilitation and assessments experience
- Intermediate care practice
- Falls management skills
- Knowledge of the current policies toward Safeguarding, Risk Assessment/Management and choice and control
- HCPC registered
- Eligible to work in the UK
