Product/Pricing Assistant

This well-established and successful travel company is expanding their pricing team in Central London and are looking for a pricing assistant to join their team.

You will be responsible for creating, sourcing and pricing the products and packages within the marketing channels of distribution, ensuring maximum effect and coverage of the marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities:
, Analyse current tactical offers to create the most competitive packages in the market place
, Analyse the tactical market place and sales performance of previous offers/campaigns to define future product requirements and opportunities.
, Attend regular marketing planning meetings with product suggestions for campaigns
, Facilitate regular communication between the Product Team and the Marketing Team
, Drive the creation of packages ensuring that the product offers are achieved
, Ensure all tactical special packages are loaded accurately on to systems
, Communicate all package details to the Marketing Team
, Brief internal departments on the product content, terms and conditions and key selling points for all marketing campaigns.
, Ensure that the Content Management System is updated for all offers and other marketing activity
, Create a checking procedure for the availability of bed and seat stock for all offers

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
, Strong experience within the travel industry
, Galileo experience
, Thorough understanding of airline and hotel contracts
, Relevant destination and travel market knowledge
, An understanding of the Internet and uses within the marketing mix
, Good analytical and numeracy skills
, Excellent attention to detail
, Strong commercial acumen
, Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure at a fast pace
, High level of IT competence e.g.

PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications
, Previous tour operator experience
, Consumer marketing experience
, Understanding and experience of in-house travel systems would be an advantage

The Package:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of circa £20,000 plus excellent staff benefits.
