Job Title

Project Manager

Salary up to £50,000 DOE plus Car Allowance and benefits

Hours 8:30 – 16:30 Mon – Thus 08:30 – 16:00 Fri

The Candidate

Experienced project management, with a strong control on H&S, cost, programme and quality issues is paramount.

  • Architectural/Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree equivalent
  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read architectural/shop drawings and installation specifications
  • Project Management skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Performance specification for compliance – key requirement
  • Construction/architectural industry background/knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conflict resolution skills

The Role

  • Ensure projects are delivered as per specification, budget and programme.

    Project to achieve expected margin with no claims or disputed invoices.
  • Prepare production schedule / programme based on delivery commitments and track using tools such as Microsoft Projects to ensure schedules are being met
  • Prepare cash flow analysis and activity schedule to track project costs and process monthly invoice amounts to customer.

    Control and track invoice payments.
  • Organise and facilitate kick off meeting, client update meetings, design meetings and co-ordination meetings during the various stages of the project life cycle to ensure project progressing as planned and problems are addressed
  • Interact/co-ordinate with architects, consultants, suppliers, customer, and inter-departmental personnel to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Work with projects administrator to create sales orders, supplier purchase orders and transport bookings all in accordance with company procedure.
  • Work with procurement manager to source material and fabrication suppliers.
  • Co-ordinate shipping and customs formalities for international projects
  • Take corrective action when schedules are not being met or cost overruns are occurring
  • Prepare and control a final account / billing summary to monitor all financial aspect of the project.

    Ensure any disputed invoices, contra charges and variations are processed correctly and in a timely manner.

    Any issues that may have financial implication for the project or company to be highlighted immediately to senior team.
  •  Visit job site during various stages of the project as required to monitor progress and advise any non-compliance
  • Responsible for post shipping issues such as material tracking, replacements and resolving customer feedback/complaints
  • Ensure project solution is specification compliant.

    All test certificates in place.
