Surgical Staff Nurse (RGN) - Leading World Class Surgical Medical Hospital - North London - Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (Plus Benefits)

Shift Patterns

37.5 hours per week, including weekends.

Day and night shifts (typical shifts 08:00-20:30 and 20:00-08:30).

This service is a leading private hospital in North London, with an international reputation for excellence in complex healthcare.

This position is based on the General Surgical ward, South building.

You will care for patients with elective surgery and plastic needs.

Specialising in ENT, colorectal, gastrointestinal, bariatric, back/spinal surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery.

The successful Staff Nurse must demonstrate that they are flexible with time, motivated and forward thinking for the continued success of the department.

Someone who has excellent communication skills and has the ability to work well within an acute hospital setting will excel in this role.

As a Surgical Staff Nurse, your duties will include:

-Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs
-Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times
-Contribute to high standards of care and development initiatives
-Supervise and direct junior team members and deputizing for senior staff in their absence
-Undertake extended roles such as IV Cannulation and phlebotomy
-Provide patients and their families with information around the care and management of their condition
-Carry out nursing duties as requested by senior staff

As a Surgical Staff Nurse, you will have:

-Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
-A current registration with the NMC
-Proven Surgical experience
-Phlebotomy training desirable
-Mentorship qualification desirable
