Salary: Basic Salary 22K (plus commission on successful completion of probation period)

Job Role:

The company is looking for a passionate individual to join it’s Vendor and Media Sales Team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for contacting and liaising with software suppliers looking to reach the company’s audience.  This will be via telephone, email face-to-face (events and meetings).

You will be selling a variety of items, including event sponsorship, research, online media and print advertising.  This will be in consultative style with the priority to retain our customers over a numbers of years, as well as looking for and contacting new organisations.

As Media Sales Account Manager, you will be expected to display the brand values of Surprise, Delight and Inspire ensuring that every interaction - with either internal or external customers - delivers on our promise of delivering exceptional, fun and inspirational experiences.

Role and Responsibilities:

Identify sales opportunities with new and existing vendor accounts in order to meet vendor sales revenue targets.  Arrange and attend meetings with vendors and other customers.  Attend company events and other industry events whenever necessary.  Support the delivery of the strategic sales plan that meets the strategic goals and objectives of the organisation.

  • Account manage software providers and any organisation looking to advertise to the company’s members and non-members
  • Manage all sales from finding leads, to initial introductions to selling, ensuring delivery takes place to the correct schedules; as well as monitoring and reporting on the success of these
  • Ensure all contacts and sales are recorded accurately on the CRM system
  • Regularly engage with current customers to retain and increase sales opportunities and resulting revenue
  • Identify and communicate with new organisations in order to make them aware of the company’s offerings
  • Meet vendor sales revenue targets as per the agreed monthly and annual budget
  • Create a social media presence in line with company’s guidelines to support sales and promotion
  • Look for opportunities to expand the company’s offering via new products or markets
  • Personally deliver against company’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) internally and externally
  • Be available for travel and overnight stay throughout the UK when required

Proven business to business sales

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven business to business sales experience and event management experience, who is looking to broaden their career in a global membership organisation.

Experience working an IT Vendor organisation would be advantageous as would an understanding of an IT support environment.
