Accounts Payable Administrator

Our client is a well-respected, UK AIM-listed specialist professional services organisation.

They offer a broad range of professional services designed to address the challenges faced by underperforming businesses and are leaders within their field.

Having over 30 offices across the UK, they are well placed to support a wide cross section of business from large corporate organisations through to smaller businesses.

Due to business growth and restructure, and in order to strengthen their resource, they are now recruiting for the following position:

Accounts Payable Administrator : Manchester City Centre - Monday : Friday 36.25 hrs

This is to join their established and experienced professional team in the Manchester head office and will be to provide general support to the team.

As an accounts payable person, you will enjoy constant variety and challenge.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

* Review, sort and process supplier invoices, cheque requests and employee expenses

* Payment of employee expenses

* Payment of supplier invoices by BACs

* Preparation of bank payments

* Preparation of cheques for payments to suppliers and petty cash

* Monitoring of Finance Payments inbox and dealing with queries

* Coding and posting of payments to ledger

* Direct debit posting

* Vendor file maintenance

* Correspond with vendors and respond to enquiries

We are looking for:

* Excellent communication skills, with a pleasant telephone manner and ability to deal efficiently, politely and calmly with people

* Attention to detail essential

* Team player who is prepared to be flexible

* A proactive and motivated approach with proven skills in prioritising and time management of workload

* Ability to liaise with staff at all levels

* English Language and Mathematics to GCSE standard or equivalent

This position is open to school leavers as well as experienced candidates and might suit someone who has completed their A Levels, doesn't want to go to university but wants to start a career within finance.
