My client are a leading Insurance Broker with headquarters in London and offices in North Kent.

They have been operational for over 15 years and continue to grow.

An opportunity has arisen for an IBA Accountant to work in their accounts department, reporting to the Group Financial Controller

Job Description
This role requires excellent numerical skills and the ability to represent the company on the telephone in a friendly, helpful and professional manner.

You will be accurate in your work and be driven to provide an efficient service to the company's customers and suppliers.

Job Roles
, Debiting of financial transactions for both premiums and claims using the Brokasure system
, Preparation of premium and claims bordereau for the market, using Excel and the Brokasure
, system
, Processing of premium and claims transactions using the A&S system, ECF(CLASS) and the
, Insurance Market Repository
, Credit control for clients and underwriters, for both wholesale and retail clients
, Maintaining records through the use of their bespoke system
, Posting of cashbooks on the Brokasure system
, Bank reconciliations of major currencies
, Answering financial queries as and when they arise, in person, by telephone and email

, Be able to prioritise and organise own and other members of the teams' workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
, Be able to liaise with colleagues and work supportively and jointly when appropriate.
, Be able to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers and contacts.
, Demonstrate confident and effective telephone skills.
, Use good interpersonal skills, including questioning and listening.
