Packing Operative

Our client is a long established manufacturing company based in Flint which will be relocating to larger premises in Rhyl due to business growth.

Innovative and dynamic, they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer.

An opportunity has arisen for a Packing Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is the ideal role for a Packing Operative looking to develop their career with an award-winning company.

As a Packing Operative you must ensure all products are packed correctly and have an understanding of industry standards and regulations in order to safely and efficiently operate the machinery.

Your duties will include:

  • Selecting products accurately and efficiently ensuring care in the handling and positioning of stock to minimise damage and optimise pallet height/ stability.

  • To ensure Packing documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner

  • Ensure Packing hygiene and safety standards are maintained to the required level

  • To communicate with other team members and management team

  • Carry out packing line changeovers

  • Achieves the set picking targets.

  • Ensures completed pallets are secured and clearly marked with the correct store number and placed in the correct despatch lane.

To be considered for the role of Packing Operative, you must have:

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.

  • Be fit, healthy and able to undertake a physically demanding role

  • Be a team player and able to achieve both individual and team targets

  • Be flexible in working around shifts

  • Appreciation of safe working practices and its importance in the workplace

Although not essential, a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence would be beneficial.

Opportunities available include working days to suit:

  • Contracts are full time, permanent, working Monday - Friday.

The start times for shift we currently have are:

  • 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00

You will need to be flexible to work longer hours depending on work load and on a shift rota basis, both days and nights.

You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Pay rates are:

  • £8.70 per hour.
