Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities include:
◾Carrying out feasibility, scheme and detailed designs of building structures in the primary structural materials.
◾Completing calculations for purposes of Building Control and third party Approval.
◾Producing drawing information and r.c.

detailing in conjunction with Revit/CAD technician support.
◾Attending design team meetings and site inspection visits.
◾Completing Structural Engineer Inspection reports for a wide variety of building types.
◾Completing RIBA stage reports for various building structures.

The ideal candidate will have:
◾At least six years design experience in structural engineering consultancy.
◾Strong knowledge in the design and detailing of building structures using steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber.
◾Experience in completing design calculations to Eurocodes as well as British Standards.
◾Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to working and genuine enthusiasm for the built environment and construction techniques.
◾A strong ability to understand and clearly communicate design ideas and construction details and practices to colleagues and outside parties.
