Product Development -Supervisor

Manage and assist the product Development Research/Product Associates in the identification and sourcing of new immunological products in support of key Portfolios and the monthly publication of new products to the company website.

  • Sourcing new and replacement products to fit in with current Marketing focus areas by performing www searches and by establishing business relationships with both academic and commercial suppliers.

  • Line management responsibilities to include training, setting of objectives and annual reviews.

  • Publish new products for sale on a monthly basis and in accordance with strict timelines set by the Product Support Manager and/or NP Administrator.

  • Ensure that all new products are correctly set up with respect to SDS documentation, USDA shipping recommendations and (where applicable) licensing terms and conditions of sale.

  • Ultimate responsibility for new product data accuracy/consistency, ensuring compliance with internal style guides.

  • Work with the NP Administrator to ensure Portfolio Team conformance with the documented QA NPD procedure.

  • In support of product launches, liaise with Product Managers, eBusiness, Marcomms, the lab and US-based LSG colleagues as required.

  • Update and maintain department QA documents.

  • Project work in support of Company Strategy.

Required Skills :

  • Self-starter with proven line-management skills

  • A comprehensive scientific knowledge base to include an in depth understanding of antibody-based techniques.

  • IT literate with a notable attention to detail

  • An ability to correct and edit data and scientific text.

Education: PhD in Immunology or related discipline

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in the antibody or related biotech industry.

  • Experience of managing a team, including objective setting and delivery of annual performance reviews.

  • Knowledge of QA Design and Development Control an advantage.

  • A background in cancer and cell biology
